The Orange Sparrow’s Journey

“Belonging isn’t about matching others, it’s about making the world kinder, one small act at a time.” — Ollie

Two digital illustrations for a book titled 'The Orange Sparrow's Journey'. The background features a light blue sky with green leafy trees and bushes. An orange sparrow is flying in both images. One has text in English and the other in Spanish, indicating the book is titled 'El viaje del gorrión naranja'. A label on the bottom left shows a website link to orangesparrow.org/ollie. A bold orange and black banner states 'Coming Soon!' in English and Spanish.

More Than a Children’s Book

At first glance, Ollie’s story is about a small orange sparrow trying to figure out where he belongs, but beneath the feathers and forest is something much deeper. It’s a story about: identity, loneliness, safety, character, kindness, courage, and the human need to feel connected.

In a world where attention spans are shrinking, stress levels are rising, and many children and adults feel unseen, Ollie reminds us of something simple but powerful: We do not have to become someone else to belong. We belong most when we choose kindness and allow ourselves to be fully seen.

Created in both English and Spanish, Ollie’s journey was designed to spark meaningful conversations in: classrooms, homes, leadership spaces, counseling offices, teams, and communities.

Because belonging is not just a childhood need. It’s a human need.
